The game is designed to be played by any adult participant willing to take a light hearted attitude toward blackmail, sex, larceny, deceit and murder. Each of the characters in the game (and therefore your guests) is a murder suspect, with an appropriate motive and possible means. Guests likely to be offended by shady dealings, sordid affairs and deceitful conduct should be left out of the fun and not invited.
We have games available for six, eight, ten or twelve players.
The games are designed to be played in three or four rounds (acts) with an additional round for accusations and resolution of the crime. Solve the mystery if you can, but be careful as everything you say may be used against you!
When selecting the time and date for the party, contact your guests to ensure they can come on the chosen date and that they all understand the importance of arriving at the appointed time. The game cannot begin until all players have arrived.
Initially when you book the game of your choice, we will give you the “Host Guide/Party Planner” and the required number of printed invitations so that you can get underway. As the host, it is important to familiarise yourself with the instructions and game rules included in the guide. We recommend that the game itself be collected closer to the time of your party, reducing the temptation to cheat.
You are responsible for casting your guests in the roles of the players (suspects). A synopsis of each character is included on the invitations.
The invitations should be received by your guests well in advance of the party to enable them to become familiar with their character and arrange any costumes or props. Costume/props suggestions are included on the invitations.
If having a full dinner party, you should allow at least four hours to catch the culprit. Without dinner, two to three hours should be sufficient. The Host Guide/Party Planner for each game has a suggested dinner menu and recipes relevant to the era and setting of the game. However, if cooking is not your forte, the games are just as enjoyable with takeaways.
